I have been in the mix of Utah photographers since 2006. What makes Pink Rose Photography different? Well, let me tell you, a lot. You can read about it in depth on my ‘start here’ section.
Pink Rose Photography started 12 hours before my oldest son was in an accident that took his life. I turned my time, energy and attention in to learning a skill set of capturing more than just the perfect portrait but the stories behind the smiles. It became evident what my mission was. I wanted to give to others what I wished I could give to myself. More than the perfect portrait but the stories behind the smiles.
For many years photography was the only way to get out of my grief. I would escape it by being silly and funny and playful, because let’s face it, two years olds ain’t gonna settle for anything less. Photography was a gift to me from heaven and it was my gift to my son to give to others this precious gift.
Over the years I learned the only thing that pulled me completely out of grief was service. I devised a plan to conquer two birds with one stone.
For many years in the industry of Utah Photographers it was hard for me to set myself apart. There are thousands of photographers you have to choose from and I wanted to give my clients an experience they couldn’t get anywhere else.
A client told me once that it was like I captured a piece of heaven on Earth. What she didn’t know is that was my entire goal when I started. I wanted to capture the spirit not just the smile.
Pink Rose Photography will give you an entirely different experience than any of the other Utah photographers. When you hire us, we donate a ‘Good Grief Photo Shoot’ to a family who has lost a child. What does that mean for you? That means that simply by hiring us to capture your family memories, you get to bless the lives of a family who is hearing their hearts.
Family portraits are one of the hardest hurdles a family faces after their child passes away. The Good Grief Gift is designed to help heal the hearts of the families by telling their child’s story and documenting what they do to remember their angel in heaven. You can check out Nikki and Kaj’s Good Grief Photo Shoot here.
