The Good Grief Project is humbly dedicated to my oldest son who passed away in 2006, my Sweet Baby James.
These images are among the most sacred photos I have ever captured.
Each picture tells a vulnerable story of courage, faith and perseverance.
Here are the portraits of some of the most brave humans I have ever met. They are the portraits of families who have lost children.
Losing a child is among the most challenging traumas one can face in this lifetime.
I started my photography business one day before my son was in the accident that took his life.
This project is designed to ease the pain of family portraits after your child has passed on. I know from experience how important family portraits are. If I could bring him back for one more day, there is no price tag I would not pay to have the opportunity to capture all of what made him, him.
When someone hires me as their photographer, together we gift a Good Grief Photo Shoot to a family who has lost a child.
One of the hardest hurdles a family faces after a child has passed on are family portraits.
All you can think about is the person who is part of your family that nobody can see.
The Good Grief Photo Shoot is built around the memory of the angel who has passed away. You may not be able to see them, but you can feel them in these portraits. The objective of this project is to tell the story of how families are turning something so painful into something good.
The death of a child is taboo to most humans. Nobody likes to talk about it, therefore, most people don’t know how to deal with it. My intention is to help others know how they can help their friends and/or family members grieve.
Every Good Grief session comes with the Gift of a keepsake memory box with their child’s face printed on acrylic for a safe space to save their child’s most priceless memories. For me, I keep my sons locket of curly hair. Along with the memory box we gift our families with an heirloom storybook of their session.
Our luxury experience with our clients affords us to bless the lives of families who have lost children. Half of what you spend with us goes towards blessing the lives of someone in their deepest pain.
